The Old Canterburian Memorial Book.
Here are the current entries in the Memorial Book that is kept in the Chapel Foyer at Kent College, for the benefit of visiting Old Canterburians. The idea of having this book was first proposed by Basil Burgess in 1980. He felt that a record should be kept at the school that contains references to past pupils and staff who had given outstanding service to the Club and/or to the School. The criteria for including these names has always been subjective and it is the responsibility of the Old Canterburian Club Committee, not of the school staff. Adrian Slater researched and compiled obituaries for all of the earlier entries. These are deliberately brief, as they were then printed by hand and in many cases they can only convey a glimpse of the achievements of the individual. There is an intentional mix of formal and informal photographs.
